WHO WE ARE

RHIZO Architecture is a Bend-based design practice founded on the belief that architecture is both an intellectual pursuit and a human endeavor. We are architects, collaborators, translators, and stewards—committed to thoughtful design that brings people together and uplifts communities.

Our name, RHIZO, comes from “rhizome”—a plant root system that shares nourishment and information beneath the surface. It’s a fitting metaphor for how we work: exchanging ideas, navigating complexity, and creating unexpected connections between people, disciplines, and spaces.

At RHIZO, we bring experience without ego. You work directly with the firm’s founders—architects who care deeply about the process, the people, and the places involved. We believe architecture should solve real problems, honor the nuances of place, and leave a lasting, positive impact.
